Tonight at 9 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Kings (31-21-13, 75 points) and Colorado Avalanche (30-25-11, 71 points) face-off for the second of three meetings this season live from the Pepsi Center in Colorado.

Los Angeles has won two of its last three games and opens up a two-match road trip while Colorado has won three consecutive contests and opens up a three-match home stand.

The Kings are three points behind the Winnipeg Jets (78) for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference while the Avalanche are seven points back.

The first time these two teams met, Los Angeles topped Colorado 4-1 on Feb. 18.

The Kings are coming in off of a 1-0 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday that snapped a two-game winning streak.

Jeff Carter has paced Los Angeles with 50 points off of 22 goals and 28 assists this season while Anze Kopitar has 13 tallies and a team-best 36 helpers to rank second on the Kings with 49 points.

The Avalanche enter play on the heels of a 3-2 victory over their rival Minnesota Wild on Sunday and will hope for their fourth straight win tonight.

Jarome Iginla (21 goals, 25 assists) and Gabriel Landeskog (19 markers, 27 helpers) are tied for the team lead with 46 points.

Colorado turns to Semyon Varlamov in the crease and he is 22-17-7 this season with a 2.56 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.

Los Angeles is set to counter with Jonathan Quick and he is 27-17-11 this season with a 2.37 GAA and a .921 save percentage.

The Kings and Avalanche clash as part of the Wednesday Night Rivalry when the puck drops live tonight from the Pepsi Center in Colorado.
