Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen apparently carries a heavy punch.
TMZ is reporting the NBA Hall of Famer was involved in a scuffle with another man outside a Malibu restaurant Sunday night and by the time the dust had cleared the other man was being carted off to the hospital in an emergency vehicle.
According to the website, the 47-year-old Pippen was standing outside of the Nobu in the ‘Bu eatery when the confrontation occurred. Thus far, details remain sketchy as to whom or what sparked the disturbance and by the time police arrived Pippen had left the scene.
Pippen starred alongside Michael Jordan during the 1990s, winning six NBA championships, including a pair of three-peats over eight seasons. In fact, the only years in which the Bulls did not win were the seasons Jordan spent the vast majority of chasing his dream of playing major league baseball.
During his career, the 6-8, 200 pound Pippen was more known as finesse than power player, parlaying his versatile player and locked-down defense into being selected as one of the league’s 50 greatest all-time players.
Since retiring from the league in 2004, Pippen has returned to work in the Bulls front office.
