Chris Bosh Tells Fans Who Left Game 6 Early To Stay Home For Finale

Chris Bosh, who made the game-saving block in the Miami Heat’s come-from-behind Game 6 NBA Finals win over San Antonio, is telling fans that left early not to return for Game 7.

With the Heat trailing late in regulation and the season and defending champ’s title run seemingly over, a horde of Miami fans headed for the exits late Tuesday, just Miami was about to embark on one of the final’s most memorable comebacks.

“For those guys who left, make sure they don’t come to Game 7,” he told Sports Illustrated. “We only want the guys who want to stay. You never give up. People gave up on us. They can stay where they are and watch the game at home.”

A sizeable portion of the fair-weather crowd attempted to make their way back into the stadium after the Heat started to rally but were denied access by security.  Bosh was pleased by management’s decision.

“You can’t get back in after you leave,” he said. “I know that. Hell, I’ve been to games. You can’t leave a game and then come back. It doesn’t make any sense. You left. It’s not punishment, that's protocol.”

The Heat and Spurs now find themselves deadlocked at 3-3 and will play for the title on Thursday night; the first time an NBA Finals series has gone seven games since the Laker vs. Celtics series in 2010.
