Former Kentucky forward Nerlens Noel rehab from major knee surgery may not be his biggest deterrent to NBA front offices Kentucky Sports Radio is reporting that Noel and his entourage, or handlers, are frightening several NBA teams by making it difficult for organizations to get information about him. TheBiglead.com is also reporting teams have found it very hard to get in touch with Noel. The station said even when LeBron James, associate William “Worldwide” Wesley and his agent Rich Paul reached out to Noel they were rebuffed in their efforts and even when another well- known agent reached out as many as six times he too was “blown off” by Noel’s crew.
So contentious have things become, some even predict that even if Noel slipped all the way to No.3 in the draft the Washington Wizards have already determined they wouldn’t consider him an option.
Noel is still recovering from a torn ACL injury he suffered to his left knee against Florida in February game attempting to block a layup. In his lone season at Kentucky, the 6-foot-11 center was named SEC freshmen of the year and SEC defensive player of the year. Noel also earned first-team All-American honors from the Associated Press, making him the fourth consecutive UK freshmen so honored in four straight seasons
