It’s been a time to forget for rap star Lil Wayne.
Only days after he appeared on an episode of The Jimmy Kimmel Show and again insinuated he had slept with the wife of Miami Heat star Chris Bosh, reigniting his running feud with the Big Three of Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Wayne is now defending himself against charges he trampled over an American flag.
According to TMZ, Wayne now claims it was all a mistake and he never even saw the flag laying on the pavement during his New Orleans-based video shoot of “God Bless Amerika.”
"I didn't step on the flag on purpose,” he tweeted. “It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform."
That’s the Cash Money member’s story and he was sticking to it on Tuesday, even though critics charge at several points during the shoot you can see him looking down at the flag as he performs.
When it comes to his alleged tryst with Adrienne Bosh, Wayne isn’t quite so coy. “I was too turnt’ up that night,” Wayne told Kimmel when directly asked the question of if the two had ever had sex. “I was too turnt’ up.”
