The Miami Heat enter Game 4 of the NBA Finals in San Antonio down 2-1, with LeBron James seeming to finally strain a bit under the weight of his underperforming teammates. Tonight's action tips off at 9:00 and will be televised on ABC. The game can be live streamed here; Heat fans can listen to the game on 560 WQAM while Spurs fans can do the same by tuning in to 1200 WOAI.
LeBron James is having the most inefficient stretch of basketball he's had the entire season in these NBA Finals, and that came to a head in Game 3, in which James was 7-of-21 from the field in a 36-point blowout loss.
LeBron guaranteed better shooting going forward, saying, "I guarantee I'll be better for tomorrow (Game 4) for sure. I have to do whatever it takes. I mean, 7 for 21 isn't going to cut it."
The Spurs had a scare from their star, Tony Parker, who injured his hamstring in Game 3 and had his availability up in the air until this afternoon. Parker and head coach Gregg Popovich both assured media that Parker will the in the lineup tonight, looking to apply a stranglehold on the series.
James' main problem has been a lack of help from his supporting cast, with the exception of Mike Miller who was buried on the bench for most of the regular season before getting dusted off for postseason play. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have struggled mightily to impact the game in meaningful ways, something Wade addressed with the media.
"We have to try to do our best to make more of our opportunities," Wade said. "We're getting some shots that we want. You know, it's everybody. Obviously, it starts with us three. We have to do a better job of being that quote, unquote, Big Three and leading our team."
