Chelsea and Manchester United Target Marouane Fellaini Might Leave in January, Admits David Moyes

David Moyes admitted star midfielder Marouane Fellaini could leave the club in January or next summer, if a suitable offer was put on the table.

Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Fellaini, with the Blues constantly linked with a move for  the Belgian international. Acording to reports, the 24-year-old has also caught the eye of Manchester United and Real Madrid, with both clubs monitoring the midfielder's situation closely.

Fellaini impressed United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, with a brilliant display against the Red Devils, in their opening English Premier League encounter, where he scored the winning goal at Goodison Park.

Moyes admitted Everton will find it difficult to hold onto the 24-year-old, if the Toffees were to receive an acceptable bid. "I won't say there's no chance in the next window because everybody is available throughout the world if the offer is right," Moyes is quoted by the Daily Mail.

"But one thing I know is the transfer window is closed so he's not going anywhere right now."

Moyes insisted he had no problems with clubs 'circling' around his best players, and was confident that Everton had the upper hand when it came to negotiating a fee for Fellaini, who recently signed a long-term contract.

"I have got no problem if other clubs start circling for my players. None at all," he told the Daily Mirror.

"What I do know is that they can't come in and take any of my players until January and we are only in September.

"Whatever happens now, whatever Fellaini says, he is here for at least the next four months. He might be here even longer than that, I don't know.

"What I do know for certain, though, is that Fellaini has got a five-year contract here.

"So clubs can circle, but the window has just shut, and we're in a strong position as far as his contract is concerned."
