Italian footballer Davide Santon has made 82 appearances for Newcastle United over the past 4 years, but it appears he is departing the team under less-than-amicable circumstances.
Newcastle announced on Monday that the 24-year-old defender is headed to Inter Milan on loan. However, Santon's fiancée Chloe Sanderson took to social media to let her followers know how displeased she was with the entire situation.
Sanderson's scathing tweets were quickly deleted, but not fast enough for outlets like The Independent to take note first.
“Just to put it out there, Davide declined Inter Milan's first offer but was pushed out by Newcastle United to leave," she wrote in one. “Disgusted with how Davide has been treated, fully fit for a while now with no chance to play- a club whose only intentions are to make £££," she claimed in another.

“This is not just a loan, it’s a loan with obligation to buy. Newcastle as good as told him if he stayed he didn’t have a place in the team," she continued. Sanderson also reiterated that Santon would have preferred to stay in the Premier League.
“They are a business not a club," she concluded. "And as long as they keep losing players with the passion Davide had, they are killing NUFC, and killing the support from the fans who stick around after all the s***.”
Santon and Sanderson have been dating for a number of years. In May of 2013 Sanderson gave birth to a baby girl, the couple's first child.
