Miguel Drop Kick Victim Could Sue R&B Artist, Open To Out Of Court Settlement

The woman accidentally drop kicked by Miguel during his Billboards Music Awards performance is now considering suing the artist.

Through her attorney, Khyati Shah now says she is considering legal action after the singer landed on her when he leap-frogged off the stage directly into the crowd. According to E! News, attorney Vip Bhola indicated a final decision will soon be made as to what course of action to take, most likely after Shah’s medical results tests return.

“We will determine that after we have feedback from medical providers,” Bhola told E! News, declining to reveal a timeline as to when any civil litigation may actually be filed. He added that his client has been experiencing “difficulties” of late he related to the incident.

Bhola added that he has yet to speak with representatives for Miguel , but did leave open the possibility of an out-of-court settlement. E! News reported that shortly after the mishap, Khyati was captured smiling alongside the singer, ice held to her elbow, as he conducted an interview.

During that same interview, Miguel called her his “new friend” and joked they met under “not the best circumstances.” He later tweeted “got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay.

Miguel has also been in the news of late after categorically blasting all blacks as being “too judgmental.”
