ISLANDERS vs JETS: Watch Live Stream Online: New York at Winnipeg

Today at 5 p.m. ET, the New York Islanders (24-11-1, 49 points) and Winnipeg Jets (19-11-7, 45 points) face-off for the second and final time this season live from the Molson Centre in Winnipeg. The game can be live streamed here. New York fans can hear all of the action on WRHU 88.7 while New York fans can do the same on TSN 1290.

New York has dropped two of its last three games, but sits in second place in the Metropolitan Division while Winnipeg has won two of three and owns the top wild-card spot in the Western Conference. The Jets topped the Islanders in the previous meeting between these teams 4-3 on Oct. 28.

The Islanders will play seven straight road games starting today and are coming in off of a 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals on Monday that saw the team blow another three-goal lead and still manage to win.

"We had a three-goal lead the last game and a three-goal lead today, and you can't be blowing those kind of leads," defenseman Johnny Boychuk said per NHL.com. "But we found a way to get a win when they did have that comeback, and it's another two points." 

John Tavares (15 goals, 17 assists) and Kyle Okposo (eight tallies, 24 helpers) are tied atop the scoresheet for the Islanders with 32 points while Brock Nelson has lit the lamp 14 times and added 13 assists for 27 points.

The Jets are entering the second match of a four-game homestand and are coming in off of a 3-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Monday.

Andrew Ladd (12 goals, 15 assists) and Blake Wheeler (11 markers, 16 helpers) each pace the Jets with 27 points while Bryan Little has found the back of the net 14 times and added 12 assists for 26 points.

In net, Winnipeg is slated to turn to Ondrej Pavelec and he is 10-8-5 with a 2.34 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

New York will likely counter with Jaroslav Halak in the crease and he ranks tied for third in the NHL with 19 wins with a 2.27 GAA and a .917 save percentage. Halak also ranks tied for third in the league with three shutouts.

It's a New Year's Eve matchup when the Islanders and Jets take the ice at the Molson Centre in Winnipeg.
