Boston Bruins Rumors: David Krejci Probable To Play Wednesday After Missing Time With Groin Injury [VIDEO]

When the Boston Bruins take the ice on Wednesday night for a game against the Wild at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota, they could have David Krejci back in the lineup as he works his way back from a groin injury.

Krejci has been sidelined since Nov. 18, but it is expected that he'll return to the ice Wednesday night.

"Been trying to stay positive throughout whole process," Krejci said, according to NHL.com. "This is just another step forward. Got to wait and see."

Krejci took the ice Wednesday morning in hopes to return, but he's being cautious about a possible comeback after nearly a month-long absence.

"I've worked hard to get back where I am," Krejci said. "I don't want to any setbacks anymore. Want to keep playing from now on until the end of the season."

The Bruins (15-13-3) have gone 3-7-1 in Krejci absence from the lineup and are playing for the second night in a row after losing a 3-2 decision to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

A favorite to win the division coming in, Boston sits at sixth place in the Atlantic Division and is one point out of the NHL's second wild-card spot.

The Bruins have also lost three games in a row and will be looking to snap that streak against the Wild (16-12-1), which is coming off of a 5-3 defeat to the Blackhawks in Chicago.

Krejci, 28, has 10 points in 11 games off of three goals and seven assists this season.
