Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria scored a touchdown in a dominant win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, but judging from his Twitter profile he wasn't in much of a celebratory mood. Fauria lashed out at Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson for some foul play off the field.
"Hey @DangerRussWilson enjoy her @ErikaAnnHammond. She had me thinking she was a loyal GF. I almost feel you @BrennanClay24. #SprayTan," Fauria's angry tweet read before it was deleted.
The mention of Brennan Clay is a nod to a former teammate of Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray, who is currently accusing Murray of having an affair with his wife. After initially outing the affair via Twitter, Clay released some damning text message exchanges between the two and claimed they were just "the tip of the iceberg."
Wilson has a reputation as one of the NFL's most charitable players and has been at the front of several NFL initiatives aimed at promoting the league's better side. He's often viewed as a counterweight to much of the negative publicity receives from players running afoul of the law.
He's no stranger to off-field relationship woes though. In April, the Seahawks bizarrely issued a press release to announce that Wilson was divorcing his then-wife Ashton. Not long after, rumors that his wife had an affair with wide receiver Golden Tate emerged. Some believed the rumors about Tate and Wilson's wife led to the Seahawks letting Tate go to Detroit.
This is the young lady that has allegedly wronged Fauria.
