Trey Burke NBA: Michigan Star PG To Be Repped By His Dad

Michigan Wolverines star guard Trey Burke will be represented by his father during the upcoming NBA Draft.

According to CBS Sports, Benji Burke got his agent’s license within the last year and has hooked up with Infinite Sports Group, a 12-year-old, NFL-based agency owned by his cousin, which counts such established players as Asante Samuel, Tyrell Sutton and Chester Taylor as clients.

Benji Burke confirmed the news late Thursday during a Detroit held press conference in which he added the Burkes would be part of a new division for the agency. Projected to be a lottery pick, Burke had his pick of suitors and in recent days had been contacted by several big time players and agents, including LeBron James and his top agent Rich Paul.

Burke won virtually every major individual award there was this season as college basketball’s top player. He is also a candidate for the Sports Illustrated Man of the Year Award.

Infinite Sports Group was founded by Alonso Shavers in 2001.Trey Burke is expected to be in Chicago next week for the start of NBA pre-draft camp.

Also expected to be on hand is former Michigan star Tim Hardaway Jr., who like Burke declared early for the draft after leading the Wolverines within a win of the national title.
