Los Angeles has won two of its last three and is in search of its second straight victory while Anaheim is looking to snap a three-game skid.

This is the first time these two teams play since the Kings topped the Ducks in seven games in the Western Conference semifinals last season. Anaheim was 4-0-1 in the regular season against L.A. last year.

These two teams start a home-and-home with the second game slated for Saturday.

The Kings are coming off of a 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday that saw Tyler Toffoli notch his team-best seventh goal of the season. Toffoli also leads the team with 17 points.

Los Angeles picked up the win with five healthy defenseman on Saturday.

"I think our five-man unit did a good job," Kings coach Darryl Sutter said per NHL.com. "When you have only five defensemen in the lineup for us, it's more about us trying to break out of our zone, so you don't use up too much energy in your own zone."

While Toffoli is first on the team in scoring, Jeff Carter is second with 14 points off of six goals and eight assists while Tanner Pearson has seven tallies and three helpers for 10 points.

The Ducks are coming off of a 2-1 loss to the Canucks on Sunday that saw Sami Vatanen notch a power play goal in the loss.

The game was also Ryan Kesler's first game against his old team in the Canucks.

"I liked it. It was fun," Kesler told NHL.com of playing Vancouver. "I'm an intense guy, and I'm a competitor. I was trying my hardest out there."

Anaheim is still without co-leading scorer Corey Perry (11-4--15) due to an infection and it will be the fourth game he misses.

Ryan Getzlaf is tied with Perry atop the score sheet with 15 points off of four markers and 11 helpers while Kesler has found the back of the net three times and added eight assists for 11 points.

In net, Anaheim is slated to turn to Frederik Andersen, who is 7-1-2 with a 1.56 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage.

Los Angeles is likely to counter with Jonathan Quick, who is 7-3-3 with a 1.86 GAA and a .943 save percentage.

Two division rivals go head-to-head when the Kings and Ducks take the ice tonight live from the Honda Center in Anaheim.
