The Browns stormed back from a 25-point deficit last week against the Titans and squeaked out a one-point victory, continuing to prove that they are a better club than most expected. According to Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons, an improved running game is the reason Cleveland's become more dangerous.

"They have a running game now," Timmons said. "That's the change for us. As we played them before they never really got a 100 yards rushing on us. So now that they did that, that's the game changer so we have to really be on our Ps and Qs."

They also appear to have adopted a tougher mentality under first-year head coach Mike Pettine. "We prefer not to have that much heaped on us and dig that back of a hole," Pettine said of his team's penchant for falling behind early. "But at the same time I really think it did speak to the character of the men that were in the room, coaches and players."

They have also received steady, even production from quarterback Brian Hoyer , who was supposed to be a mere placeholder for rookie Johnny Manziel. Hoyer threw his first pick last week, but has 1,007 yards and six touchdowns on the season, and will line up against a Steelers defense that ranks 20th against the pass per FootballOutsiders.com.

Cleveland's pass defense may be without top cornerback Joe Haden, however, which means Steelers No. 1 wide receiver Antonio Brown could have a field day.
