Lakers center Dwight Howard is expecting his fifth child with a fifth different woman, according to a Black Media Scoop report on Tuesday. Sources told the website that Howard already has four different children with four different women, although he has remained quiet regarding the situation, instead focusing attention on the Lakers' playoff run.
The news creates criticism for Howard who has long professed his Christian faith. Many have now began to wonder whether multiple children from different mothers runs contrary to his professed Christian values.
The 28-year-old Lakers center was drafted in 2004 by the Orlando Magic. His tenure in Orlando ended in turmoil as he was indecisive of his future with the team and asked on multiple occasions for a trade.
Howard was finally granted a trade to the Lakers this past summer, but has struggled through injuries and a lack of chemistry with his new team. The heavily favored Lakers finished seventh in the Western Conference, avoidingmissing the NBA Playoffs for the first time in 2005.
