Janay Palmer Photos: Ray Rice Wife Defends Husband After Elevator Attack On Instagram, Rips Media, Ravens and NFL [VIDEO]

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was released yesterday following the release of more video showing the full scope of his domestic violence incident with then-fiancee Janay Palmer.

Rice had originally been suspended for two games for striking Palmer in an Atlantic City hotel elevator, but his punishment was revisited upon the release of a second video. The first video that became public was of Rice dragging an unconscious Palmer out of the elevator.

The latest footage shows the couple arguing prior to entering the elevator, Palmer confronting Rice, and the running back dropping her with a left-handed punch that sent her head into a railing inside the elevator.

The Ravens cut Rice from the team hours later, and the NFL suspended him indefinitely. Palmer, who now goes by Janay Rice after marrying him a month after the incident, isn't happy though.

Janay Rice has stated that she had forgiven Rice for the attack, and that they were going to get through the ordeal together. Now that he's been stripped of the ability to play football, she lashed out at the media, Ravens and NFL via Instagram.

"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family.

"To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"
