Boston Celtics Rumors: Rajon Rondo Demands Trade Out of Boston? Rockets, Knicks Among Possible Landing Spots [VIDEO]

The Rajon Rondo saga got much more interesting in Boston over the weekend as conflicting reports have the Celtics All-Star demanding a trade out of town.

Rockets Interested in Suns' Eric Bledsoe?

According to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, the Celtics point guard has told the team that “he wants out” and he would not resign with the team when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season. MacMullan said during a segment on ESPN’s Around the Horn that she doesn’t believe the team can get eighty-cents on the dollar for the All-Star and all the teams that could had been interested in him have moved on.

“Oh, I hope so,” MacMullan said. “Just get it done. And it will happen because [Rondo’s] told them he wants out. And no one believes me, but that's the truth. I don’t see how you get 80 cents on the dollar for him. Tell me where.”

The video of MacMullan and New York’s Frank Isola has since been removed, but the two continue the conversation by discussion where the point guard could potentially end up. The Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns are the teams that came up in conversation, but the point of who the Celtics would get in return was the defining factor.

T-Wolves Shopping Ricky Rubio to Point Guard Needy Teams?

In the past the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings were seen as the most likely suitors but they have traded all the assets that the Celtics coveted. Gone are Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin on the Rockets and gone is Isaiah Thomas of the Kings.

One move that was intriguing was the Celtics and Suns doing a swap for Eric Bledsoe, but MacMullan shot down the idea as the Celtics would have to believe Bledsoe is a max contract type of player. This saga is just starting and, much like the Kevin Love saga, it could be a long game of he said, she said before resolution is reached.
