Tonight at 10:10 p.m. ET the first place Los Angeles Angels (76-50) will try to shake off the loss of ace right hander Garrett Richards when they open a three-game series vs. the Oakland A's (74-52) at the O.cO Coliseum. Live stream the game by clicking this link; Angels fans can hear the radio broadcast on 830 KLAA while A's fans may do the same on 95.7 FM The Game. L.A. will send Hector Santiago (3-7, 3.46 ERA) to the hill against Sonny Gray (12-7, 2.99 ERA).

Superstar outfielder Mike Trout has struggled lately, but the Angels are rolling along on a four-game winning streak. Part of that has been the Angels' pitching, including tonight's starter Santiago.

Despite a low win total, Santiago's been a good addition to the Angels rotation. He hasn't been beaten in 11 starts despite receiving just five runs of support in his last 17.1 innings of work.

"There's no doubt about his ability to throw strikes and I think he's commanding counts better," manager Mike Scioscia said. "He's been keeping guys off-balance. He's been pitching good baseball."

The A's were in first place in the AL West for most of the season, but have hit hard times going 2-8 in their last 10 games.

"We've just gone through a tough stretch here, and really, the first one of the year," said A's manager Bob Melvin. "I never thought it looked like we were running away with it. I don't buy into that at all, these percentages you see up there to win the division and all that. It can be swung very quickly in three games. They're one of the best teams in baseball, and we know we're going to have some seriously emotional games against them."
