First up on the Monday slate of Little League World Series games is the consolation matchup between international squad Czech Republic and American team South Dakota.
South Dakota has had a lackluster tournament after being sen as a dark horse, but losses to Nevada and Washington ended their dreams of a championship. Czech Republic finds themselves in a similar situation after losing to both South Korea and Australia.
There is no glory to be had for theses two teams, but there is the small satisfaction of getting one win on little league’s biggest stage as opposed to no wins at all. This game is just the first of five games in the slate for the Little League World Series on Monday.
