Kevin Love to Golden State Done Deal? Warriors Willing To Send Klay Thompson, David Lee [VIDEO]

The Minnesota Timberwolves weren't in love with the first real offer they received for their star big man. There's more love to go around in the second offer, however.

ESPN.com is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are dangling guard Klay Thompson as part of a deal that included David Lee and the Warriors' first-round pick for the rights to Wolves power forward Kevin Love.

According to ESPN.com, Thompson's father, Mychal, told ESPN LA 710 on Thursday that the teams are in discussions of a deal that would also send guard Kevin Martin to the Warriors.

Minnesota wanted players that could contribute immediately, making the Warriors' offer more palatable than one that the Boston Celtics reportedly presented to the T-Wolves last week. That offer may have included Jared Sullinger or Kelly Olynyk and the Celtics' first-round draft pick, the No. 6 overall in this year's draft, according to CBSSports.com.

Ricky Rubio says Kevin Love should not be Timberwolves' team captain

The Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets all have expressed a serious interest in acquiring Love, an all-star last season that averaged 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in Minnesota. So far, the Warriors willingness to offer two quality players has tipped the scales in their favor, ESPN.com reported.

Thompson averaged 18.4 points and Lee averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds for Golden State in 2013-14.

Love's representative informed the Timberwolves that Love intended to test the free-agent market in 2015 and refuse all attempts by the T-Wolves to re-sign him.

The Bulls still are determining whether to pursue Love or the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony, and that hesitation could cost them a chance at Love. Yet, Anthony still has until Monday to decide whether he will opt out of his final year with the Knicks and give up $23.3 million.

The Nuggets reportedly have Winston Chandler or Kenneth Faried and the No. 11 pick available but now must certainly up the ante to compete with the Warriors for a shot at Love.
