Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovic:
The matchup that was the most likely but we didn't expect won out as Rafael Nadal will play Novak Djokovic in the French Open final in Roland Garros. Nadal is the lazy pick for most people considering his history on clay and his knack for burying his opponents on his favorite surface.
Having said that, Nadal is the correct choice for this French Open considering that he has gotten better each match and that shouldn't stop in the French Open finals. Djokovic could pull one out of his hat in this matchup but it is unlikely that he will capture the career grand slam this year. Look for Djokovic to put a solid fight as he is well deserving of his No. 2 ranking, but Nadal is still on another level when un comes to the French Open and clay.
In Grand Slams, Nadal leads 8–3. In best-of-five matches, Nadal leads 9–3. In finals, Djokovic leads 12–9. In clay courts, Nadal leads 13-4.
