The Miami Dolphins signed yet another free agent as the team announced the signing of wide receiver Brandon Gibson on Friday. Gibson joins Dustin Keller, Mike Wallace and recently re-signed Brian Hartline as the latest addition to the Dolphins passing offense.
Gibson spent the past four seasons with the St. Louis Rams, starting in 38 games. In 2012, he had 51 receptions for a career-high 691 yards and five touchdowns while starting 13 games.
Miami, who have been one of the most active teams during the free agent signing period, made it a key goal to build their offense around second-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who the Dolphins chose with a first-round pick during the 2012 NFL Draft. Wallace, regarded as one of the top free agents on the market this offseason, was signed to a five-year $60 million deal.
Miami finished second in the AFC East last season with a 7-9 overall record.
