Clarence Seedorf Sacked: AC Milan Head Coach Fired, Filippo Inzaghi Hired As Next Coach?

After a slow start under former manager Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan improved enough under Clarence Seedorf to finish in the top half of the Serie A table. It wasn't, however, good enough for the club to clinch a European berth. It won't be enough to safe Seedorf's job, either.

Mario Balotelli Being Replaced By Striker Carlos Bacca?

Goal Italy (via Goal) is reporting that AC Milan is set to sack Seedorf and replace him with youth head coach and former teammate Filippo Inzaghi. A deteriorated relationship between Seedorf and the board during a five-month spell is the rumored justification for the move. Inzaghi spent over a decade at the San Siro, twice lifting the Serie A and Champions League crown.

Now, he'll attempt to do the same for the club at the managerial level, transfering his philosophy from the youth to the professional level.

Silvio Berlusconi Not Satisfied With AC Milan?

"I'm trying to teach it [finishing and scoring goals] to my players, but I'm still looking for the way to do it and it's difficult," Inzaghi told L'Equippe (via ESPN) in 2013.

"In fact, the sense of positioning, anticipation, is something very natural. I always knew where the ball was going to drop, but I have plenty of other things I can also teach the boys," he added.

"Each of us has something which is our own and which only you yourself can pass on to others."

Inzaghi will now attempt to pass that something of his own to the professionals on his roster. Will it, however, be enough to lift AC Milan back to their proper level? Tell us @SportsWN
