To say Fabian's in a better place would be an understatement. The Mexican international even admits he wouldn't be where he is today if not for an exit from Guadalajara (h/t to Tiro Libre). "It came at the best time [the opportunity to change clubs]. I think it would've been difficult to be here [with the Mexican national team] if I would've stayed there [with Chivas Guadalajara]," Fabian said.

Such a successful season and inclusion in a World Cup roster has peaked the interest of club's overseas, with an unnamed German one still interested in his services. An enticing offer could see Marco Fabian in Europe come fall.
The question is: Where will Cruz Azul turn to to maintain their potent attack?
That answer may be found in Ecuador.
Reports (via Ecuagol) have La Maquina's eyes fixated on Cristian Penilla. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is said to be having an impressive campaign for Barcelona Sporting Club, one highlighted by his four goals and six assists in Ecuador's first division.
