While most are counting out Brooklyn after a hard-fought loss on their home court in Game 4, Heat guard Dwyane Wade expects another stiff test tonight. "This team is not going to give us the game," Wade said. "This series is far from over."
Brooklyn has faced plenty of adversity throughout the season, so head coach Jason Kidd is expecting his squad to answer the bell like they have all year. "It's Game 5. We understand what's at stake," Kidd said. "It's Game 7 for us from here on out. If we lose, it's over. If we win, we fight another day. We can only focus on Game 5 and one quarter at a time."
Stopping LeBron James is always paramount to defeating the Heat, and thus far the Nets haven't been able to control him. He's averaging a tick more than 30 per game in the series, and after Paul Pierce asked for the challenge of checking the four-time MVP he was incinerated for 49 points.
LeBron has hit 59.7 percent of his shots in this series and knocked down 37.5 percent of his 3-pointers. Simply put, he has been dominant and Brooklyn's best answer, Joe Johnson, is struggling to keep up.
Johnson's been good in the series as well, putting up 16.8 points per game and shooting 41 percent from deep, but overall he can't match the numbers King James is amassing.
