Blake Bortles Girlfriend Celebrates NFL Draft: Lindsey Duke Instagram Has New Photo Of Boyfriend's Jaguars Jersey [VIDEO]

While many heads snapped around during Thursday night's first round of the NFL Draft when the Jacksonville Jaguars picked University of Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles No. 3 overall, one internet celebrity couldn't hide her joy-Bortles' girlfriend Lindsey Duke.

After her boyfriend was selected third overall, and first among an impressive class of passers, she took to Instagram to proudly boast of his new status as a likely starting signal caller. Sporting a Jags hat with a Bortles No. 3 jersey in hand, Duke captioned her photo "Couldn't be happier."

Throughout the draft process Duke has stolen the thunder from Bortles at every turn because of her stunning social media presence, but now that he's got the expectations of a Top 3 pick on his shoulders all eyes are on him.

"I love to compete," Bortles said. "I love to play football and I mean anytime somebody's going to ask you to throw at the combine, you get an opportunity to do that in front of every single NFL coach and GM in the country, I don't know what's wrong with you if you don't take that challenge on and go compete."

The Jaguars passed on talented players at other positions, such as defensive end Khalil Mack and wide receiver Sammy Watkins to take the riskier Bortles mainly because of the importance of quarterbacks in the NFL these days. GM David Caldwell wanted to snag the future franchise passer, but also indicated he will likely sit behind Chad Henne at the outset of the season.

"It's such an important position in this league and you want to do it right," Caldwell said. "That's what we're about. ... We have to make it work. We can't just throw him out there. We've seen what happens when that happens."

Prior to the Combine, Bortles was ranked behind Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, who went 22nd to the Browns, and Teddy Bridgewater who went 32nd to the Vikings.
