49ers Not Interested In Revis, According To Sources

The San Francisco 49ers are not interested in pursuing Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, a team source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.  The 49ers' interest in Revis is ".001 on a scale of 1-10," the source told Mortensen via text message.

San Francisco was reported to be one of the teams that have engaged the Jets in trade talks for Revis since the NFL combine last week. Revis also expressed his interest in joining the NFC champions when asked in various interviews.

However, the Niners believe that the All-Pro's price tag, both in contract and trade value, does not fit their model, despite a need at cornerback and 12 available draft picks in the 2013 NFL Draft. The source also claimed that Revis' ACL injury last October is another red flag to the franchise, also noting that the NFL Draft is rich with cornerback prospects.

The Atlanta Falcons now emerge as a front runner to pursue Revis. Last week, the Falcons released three starters, including cornerback Dunta Robinson, saving nearly $16 million on salary cap. However, Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff downplayed the potential trade to ESPN's Ed Werder on Wednesday
