Global Force Wrestling Rumors: Jeff Jarrett Confirms Deal with AAA Wrestling in Mexico? [VIDEO]

Here are the latest Global Force Wrestling rumors on the TNA vs. GFW front following the official announcement that Jeff Jarrett's new promotion has signed a deal with AAA Wrestling in Mexico. TNA once had a working relationship with AAA when Jeff and Karen Jarrett were still active on Impact Wrestling, but those were much different times for TNA.

According to the official press release on the Global Force Wrestling website, GFW and AAA "will exchange talent for events in both the United States and Mexico." This is similar to the agreement TNA had with AAA when Jeff and Karen Jarrett were on Impact, and the press release references the "10-plus years" that the Jarretts have had with the family that owns AAA Wrestling.

One of the more interesting facets to the GFW-AAA agreement is that while Jeff Jarrett or GFW cannot pitch Spike TV for a U.S. broadcasting agreement due to a contractual obligation stemming from when Jarrett left TNA, it does not mean that there will not be a competition between TNA and Global Force Wrestling for talent, including international talent all over the world.

Also, according to a report from TNA Insider, their source indicates that the relationship between TNA and AAA was "doomed from the start" due to several complications. The report states, "AAA officials complained that TNA talent cost way too much money to book and that some wrestlers had to have appearances negotiated directly with their agents and not through TNA. The final wrestler to appear on behalf of TNA in Mexico was Matt Morgan."

Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett has always enjoyed his time in Mexico, and here's a clip of he and Karen Jarrett from TNA Impact after being crowned the AAA Champion:
