Jadeveon Clowney NFL Comparison; Jaguars, Rams, Giants in Play For Next Julius Peppers? [VIDEO]

The NFL Draft is little more than week away, but we have known this years players for almost four months. Do we really know these players? Lets find out with scoring reports on the drafts’ top prospects.

Player: Jadeveon Clowney

Summary:
Clowney is easily one of the top prospects to join the NFL in recent memory and his freak-like measurements make him all the more intriguing to teams. Clowney has a variety of pass rushing moves that will translate to the next level with ease as well as being hugely underrated in his run defense. Make no mistake, Clowney is a once-in-a-decade type of talent that can change from defensive end to outside linebacker, but he would be better served as an end. The list goes on, but Clowney is no doubt the best prospect in this years draft and its not even close.

- Incredibly underrated in his run defense
- Speed/strength combination is unprecedented
- Versatile pass rusher that can play multiple schemes
- The list goes on and on

Texans Want Bridgewater In The Second Round

Cons:
- Questionable work ethic due to lack of incentive
- How will he react when he has money?
- Draft fatigue due to being the top prospect for two years

Pro Comparison: Julius Peppers
Clowney is the best pass rushing prospect to come to the NFL since Peppers and he may be better. Peppers wasn't heralded as a freak athlete or a great run defender, but was one of the best pass rushing prospects. Some other comparisons would include a combination of Mario Williams and Lamarr Houston due to their pass rushing and run defense, respectively. Some say he looks like Lawrence Taylor or Reggie White, but no one should ever use those names on a player that hasn't played a NFL snap.

Team By Team NFL Draft Previews

Perfect Fits: St. Louis Rams, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars
Any team that players a 4-3 or a 3-4 hybrid would love to have Clowney, but the number of those teams is dwindling. The Giants are a dream scenario for both parties due to the Giants ability to transform anyone into a pass rusher and Clowney's skill set. Imagine if they got their hands on a player with the potential of Clowney. The Rams and Jaguars also have a defensive focus and would love to rush the passer more effectively, but the Rams have enough defensive end talent and the Jaguars might not have the chance to draft him at No. 3
