AC Milan Transfer News: Javier Chicharito Hernandez Teammate 'Received An Offer' From Milan?

As much as manager Clarence Seedorf has been optimistic about the direction of his club—AC Milan currently hold a six-match unbeaten run—the fact remains that UEFA Champions League football will not be played at the San Siro next season.

Upgrades will be necessary to return Milan to glory next season.

One of those said upgrades could be made between the posts.

An aging Christian Abbiati currently occupies that space for the club. The 36-year-old has only averaged 1.76 saves per match this season. One keeper reportedly sought after to claim his spot is Mexican international Guillermo Ochoa. The Ajaccio keeper has been heavily linked with a move to Milan, not by any news outlet, but by his agent Jorge Berlanga (h/t to Goal).

"I believe that he would prefer to continue his career in France, but he has also received an offer from Milan," Berlanga said.

"I hope that he makes the step up to a big club. He really deserves it," he added.

"I don't know where he will play next season, though."

While Ochoa is a premier summer transfer target, Milan would be better suited chasing one of his Mexican international teammates instead, Javier Chicharito Hernandez

Mario Balotelli's future at the San Siro very much remains in serious doubt. The 23-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League as early as January. Should he opt for a return to England, a gaping hole will exist atop Milan's formation—a hole that could easily be filled Hernandez.

Even with Balotelli, Milan average a pedestrian 1.03 goals per match inside the area. Hernandez, a striker with an unparalleled poaching prowess, would help see that average rise.

The club's position in the Serie A table would subsequently follow.

With a new regime expected to take over Manchester this summer, a move for Hernandez to Milan would serve all parties involved.
