Ronda Rousey next fight: Gina Carano won't happen unless she cuts weight? 'Rowdy' willing to 'bend over backwards' [VIDEO]

Women's mixed martial arts legend Gina Carano could be gearing up for a comeback fight against current luminary Ronda Rousey, who said she's willing to "bend over backwards" to make a bout happen. Rousey, the women's bantamweight champion, has made it clear she's even willing to move up in weight.

"She's one of the pioneers of the sport," Rousey said. "She's the reason why I fight at all. I owe everything to her. I would bend over backwards to fight her. What am I going to do to her, make her run the gauntlet to fight me? I would show up at her house to fight her."

Could Holly Holm be in line for shot at Rousey?

Unfortunately, UFC president Dana White isn't too keen on the idea of Rousey moving up to make it happen. However, he didn't rule out the possibility of the two legends meeting.

"This isn't like an exhibition fight," White said. "As much as you [media] want to downplay it. Gina Carano wants to cut the weight and fight for a belt."

Carano isn't the only fight out there for Rousey either. She's been linked to Invicta's Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino, although she's not willing to move up for that matchup.

Rousey beef with ring girl Arianny Celeste squashed?

Carano hasn't fought in five years, so even if Rousey's willing to give her an immediate match, it likely wouldn't be the smartest move for the former. Cyborg is an equally appealing opponent, and Carano should get at least one fight under her belt before fighting the top opponent possible.

Not too long ago, Justino's camp said a Rousey-Cyborg matchup was imminently possible.

"[Invicta] is a relationship we want to continue for a long time, and Shannon's been so great to us," Justino's co-manager George Prajin said in January. "But contractually, [Justino vs. Rousey] could happen in the fall. And to be honest, I think if the UFC offered the fight, I don't think Shannon would stand in the way. I think she'd be very supportive, and even if she were contractually bound, I think she would allow Cris to fight Ronda in the UFC. I know that for a fact."
