Qualifying for the next slate of games will be tough for the Afghans after catching a nine-wicket beating in their opener. They started off in rocky fashion, but rebounded well against Hong Kong in their second match; still, even if they soundly take out Nepal today they'll still need help to advance to the Super 10.
Mohammad Shahzad put forth a 68, helping the Afghans cruise and regain some confidence heading into this crucial matchup.
Nepal kicked off the World T20 with a bang, crushing Hong Kong, but fell in their second go-round against host squad Bangladesh. It was a tough matchup for them, as they were essentially playing an away game against a far more seasoned group. Still, Paras Khadka represented himself well by passing 40 for the second straight match.
They too are in the mix to qualify for the super 10, but will need to win today and hope Hong Kong can achieve a miracle win over Bangladesh. They should be on the lookout for a bounce-back performance from Samiullah Shenwari, who excelled in the Asia Cup but hasn't lived up to his billing yet in this tourney.
