Once upon a time Teddy Bridgewater was the consensus top pick in the 2014 draft, but times have changed and Bridgewater had his opportunity to change the critics mind at his Pro Day Monday. What did Teddy do for his draft stock?
Sports World News Mock Draft 1.0: Part One
Bridgewater did all the drills and threw for scouts and the first reviews aren't overly positive. Bridgewater looked thin and weighed in a 208 pounds, but later said he wants to play at 220 pounds. Bridgewater claimed his weight loss was due to training in the Florida heat as well as a cold he recently had.
Mike Mayock reports Teddy Bridgewater weighed in at 208 lbs today. Down from his combine weight, but guys generally cut to run faster.

As for throwing the ball, Bridgewater was up and down throughout the day, including a few wobbly throws deep in the later portion of the workout. Some questioned Bridgewater’s choice to not wear a glove like he did in college, but went in with naked hands. Teddy also ran a 4.8 40-yard-dash and was praised for his mental game/pre snap reads.

Texting w/a coach who's at Pro Day, said Bridgewater's "overall control of the ball" was troublesome. Wondered why he didn't wear a glove. — Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) March 17, 2014
This is not the end-all bell of the draft process for Bridgewater as many, including myself, believe that these workouts are not that big a deal. Reports from the Pro day are that Mike Mayock called the workout “very average at best,” but Mayock also called JaMarcus Russell’s Pro Day one of the best he has ever seen.
Where will Bridgewater land? Is he the top QB in the draft? Tell us @SportsWN
