Today at 16:00 GMT, or 11:00 a.m. ET South Africa will try to jumpstart their T20 series with Australia in Kingsmead, Durban; live stream the action at the oval for free by clicking this link. The first game was washed out by rainstorms, and according to reports this one may be in danger of suffering a similar fate.

The previous rainout was frustrating for both squads, as each team looked forward to facing quality opposition to get prepared for the upcoming World T20 in Bangladesh. While they didn't get to hone themselves into cohesion, they did get an opportunity to rest and heal any lingering maladies before the big tournament.

South Africa captain Faf du Plessis told reporters that the rest was important, even moreso than getting in extra matches.

"The bigger picture is the World Cup. We need to consider giving the key guys who have had a tough Test series a rest in some of the games. Someone like AB has played a lot of cricket and has been non-stop for the last three weeks, with the bat, gloves and on the field. From a player management point of view it's important to make sure that the World Cup is the focus point."

Another rainy forecast could wipe out today's match completely or leave them to a rain-shortened affair, though. Despite the valuable rest, neither team wants rust to set in either.

Both sides must proceed as if the action will get underway, and both are dealing with missing stars. Dale Steyn is still out for the South Africans, while star bowler Mitchell Johnson and Brad Hogg will be absent for the Aussies.

Without Johnson to masterfully dominate opposing bats, Australia's David Warner will be leaned on to carry the offense with his batting. Conversely, South Africa's Quinton de Kock, a relative newcomer has begun to shine in the form of three consecutive hundreds in one-day play.
