John Cena Injured? [VIDEO] 'Cenation' Leader Held Off Sunday's Live Event After Injury In Match Against Randy Orton [PHOTO]

Reports over the weekend at the WWE's live events is that John Cena injured himself on Saturday night during a match with Randy Orton and was kept out of WWE's live event on Sunday by officials as a precautionary measure. Cena reportedly hurt his eye during his match with Orton, though it is not believed to be a serious injury.

Cena was taking on Orton Saturday night when he was apparently poked in the eye, leading to the match being briefly stopped. After trainers checked on Cena to make sure he was okay, the match continued.

Cena was then pulled from Sunday's events in Florida due to the eye injury. WWE officials decided to keep Cena off of the show despite the fact that Cena was willing to wrestle and felt fine enough to do so. Cena was spotted by a fan dining with girlfriend Nikki Bella in a photo where it looks as though his eye is either swollen or he's squinting. The picture can be viewed here. Cena was replaced by Bryan in a match against Orton on Sunday.

It hasn't been reported whether or not the WWE will hold Cena out of physical competition on Monday night's edition of RAW but he could appear in a non-wrestling capacity to cut a promo or make an appearance in some other way.

Cena along with Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Christian, Antonio Cesaro and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton are the six competitors that will step into the Elimination Chamber at the pay-per-view event on Feb. 23 at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The WWE will certainly continue to build towards that match on tonight's episode of RAW.

The WWE's plans for WrestleMania XXX at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6 have been up in the air and the company had meetings to discuss what their plans were for the event last week, and it seems as though the only sure-fire match is Cena and Bray Wyatt going one-on-one at the event.

Cena's injury is likely not serious and it doesn't look like he'll miss any significant time.
