New Jersey looks to go two games over .500 for the first time this season while Toronto enters play looking to stop a four-game skid. The first time these two teams met, the Maple Leafs defeated the Devils 2-1 in a shootout in Toronto on Nov. 8.

The Maple Leafs have been out-scored 21-7 on their current losing streak but are confident that things will turn around despite their last defeat 3-2 at the hands of the Washington Capitals.

"Sports has a way of evening things out," coach Randy Carlyle said via NHL.com. "... If you continue to work and continue to push forth with the effort that we had tonight and play a team game, and play as desperate, and execute to the level, shore up in our discipline, we will give ourselves a much better chance to win hockey games than we have been."

The Devils are coming off of a 2-1 victory over the Florida Panthers in overtime and seek their third straight win.

"We don't have to change anything, we just have to make sure we score on the chances we get," forward Jaromir Jagr said per NHL.com. "... They play a pretty wide-open game, so we're going to get opportunities to score. We just have to make sure we score.

Jagr (13-23-36) leads the team in scoring while Michael Ryder (16-8-24) and Marek Zidlicky (8-16-24) are also among the team's best scorers. Ryder is on a four-game goal streak while Zidlicky has nine points in his last 10 games.

The Maple Leafs have been paced by Phil Kessel (21-19-40), James van Riemsdyk (16-17-33) and Mason Raymond (12-16-28).

In net, New Jersey will turn to Cory Schneider for the third straight game. Schneider is 7-9-5 with a 1.97 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. Jonathan Bernier will likely start for Toronto and is 13-14-4 with a 2.59 GAA and a .925 save percentage.

The Devils look for their third straight win while the Maple Leafs hope to avoid a five-game skid when the puck drops at the Air Canada Centre tonight in Toronto.
