Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley's prospects for a future sports media career may have suffered a significant setback after a punishment from ESPN, the nation's largest sports network.

The 32-year-old faced substantial criticism following a post-game interview in the locker room after the Bucks-Pacers Game 6 on Thursday, May 2.

The pesky guard declined to speak with ESPN reporter Malinda Adams and even shut her microphone down, all because she was not a subscriber to his podcast.

As Front Office Sports reported, Beverley has been banned from making guest appearances on any of ESPN's shows as a result of the incident.

Numerous ESPN executives, staffers, and reporters from other networks expressed outrage when Beverley attempted to isolate Adams from the locker room interview.

Beverley has served as a guest analyst on the network numerous times, particularly during the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

Meanwhile, Beverley and the Bucks have reached out to Adams to apologize for the incident, which the reporter has accepted.

"Patrick Beverley just called me and apologized. I appreciate it and accept it. The Bucks also reached out to apologize. I've been in news for over 40 years and kindness and grace always win," Adams posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Beverley's YouTube show, The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone, boasts over 268,000 subscribers.
