Chiefs: Rashee Rice Surrenders to Police After Arrest Warrant, Former SMU Teammate Suspended for Role in Car Crash

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will face consequences following the six-vehicle car crash on March 30 in Dallas in which he was involved. 

The 23-year-old turned himself into the Glenn Heights Police Department in Texas on Thursday, April 11, after an arrest warrant was issued for him the day before.

The Dallas Police Department filed eight charges against him, and his bond was set at $5,000 for each, for a total surety bond of $40,000.

These charges include six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault, all of which are felonies, as detailed in the arrest warrant.

The Super Bowl champion was subsequently taken to the DeSoto Jail, and a mugshot of the wideout was also released.

Rashee Rice's former SMU teammate receives suspension

On the other hand, SMU Mustangs cornerback Teddy Knox, who was Rice's former teammate during his time with the school in 2022, has been suspended from their football team due to his involvement in the incident.

Knox was revealed as the driver of the Chevrolet Corvette that was racing with a Lamborghini driven by Rice.

The cornerback/wide receiver has been charged with six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of collision involving serious bodily injury.
