Richie Incognito's scheduled second interview in the hazing investigation involving teammate Jonathan Martin has been canceled, according to USA TODAY.

The newspaper reports NFL-appointed investigator Ted Wells informed Incognito's representatives of his decision soon after he met with the victimized Martin for a second time. The newspaper adds it's not yet known what the decision might mean in terms of what Incognito's soon-to-be announced fate might be.

The 30-year-old Martin is accused of bullying Martin to the point the 24-year-old second year player left the team near mid-season and has yet to return. Martin claims he was regularly hazed by Incognito and others in acts that included the veteran guard sending him text and phone messages that threatening to kill him.

Incognito cut a deal with league and team officials late last month to delay an expedited hearing for his grievance against the team and extend his suspension two weeks beyond the maximum allowed by the collective-bargaining agreement in exchange for reducing his financial loss to two game checks worth $470,588.That extension expires on Monday.

Wells previously met with Martin, who reportedly has also sought treatment for mental health issues, for more than seven hours on Nov. 15 and again Dec. 5. The Dolphins officially ended his season on Nov. 30 by moving to place him on the non-football injury illness list. USA TODAY has previously reported he is still being paid his weekly salary of $35,733 a game.
