Colorado Buffaloes football head coach Deion Sanders is preparing to welcome a Hall of Famer to his coaching staff ahead of their upcoming campaign.
Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp was officially introduced as Prime Time's coaching staff member at Colorado on Sunday, March 31.
The 51-year-old will serve as a senior quality control analyst, operating at the graduate assistant coach level.
"Senior quality control analyst, it's a mouthful, and you'll hear me before you see me most of the time. But what we gonna do is, big fellas - stance, alignment and assignment... We're gonna pour concrete because you know I like nice stuff. And we're building mansions here, so that's why I'm here - to help you build your mansion," he told the team.
Sapp has also enrolled in graduate-level continuing education classes at the CU Boulder graduate school to qualify for the graduate assistant coach position.

Since retiring from the NFL after the 2007 season, Sapp has not been involved in coaching at any level. During his tenure with the team, he is expected to primarily focus on working with linemen.
Warren Sapp's coaching role is an entry-level position
Graduate assistant coaching positions are typically seen as entry-level roles in college football.
Compensation tends to be modest, and these positions have a three-year term limit, according to NCAA rules.
NCAA regulations also prohibit graduate assistants from contacting or evaluating potential recruits off-campus.
