Brooklyn Nets guard Dennis Schroder reacted to the provocative remarks made by his former teammate, Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell.
"I don't understand it. But at the end of the day, it just shows off immaturity. You're not really mature if you're just keeping somebody's name in his mouth and just running it. I don't understand," Schroder told reporter Brian Lewis of The New York Post.

D'Angelo Russell's comments about Dennis Schroder and Darvin Ham
Russell's initial comments arose after his playing time was reduced due to his struggles in last year's Western Conference Finals against the eventual NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets.
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham limited Russell's involvement while favoring Schroder, despite Russell having started every game for the purple-and-gold that season after being acquired in a midseason trade.
"His relationship with Darvin is the reason I couldn't have a relationship with Darvin. When I was struggling, I would've been able to come to the coach and say, 'Bro, this is what we should do. Like, I can help you.' Instead, there was no dialogue... I just accepted it," Russell said to ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin.
Schroder played for the Atlanta Hawks from 2013 to 2018, during which time Ham served as an assistant coach.
As Russell highlighted, this established a prior relationship between the two.
