In the latest injury report on Herbert's status via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, it appears the 25-year-old play-caller suffered a fractured index finger in his right throwing hand.
A fractured finger takes roughly six to eight weeks to heal, casting doubts on whether Herbert can still return for the Chargers this 2023-24 season.
