Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is widely regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all-time. He has played a pivotal role in his team's incredible success, contributing to two Super Bowl victories in the past four seasons.

Beyond his on-field achievements, he has been a stalwart presence in the Kansas City community throughout his 11 seasons with the team.

Kelce was selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 63rd overall pick out of the University of Cincinnati, and he has turned himself into a pivotal player for the franchise ever since.

The 33-year-old has earned First Team All-Pro honors four times, including last season, and has been named to the Second Team All-Pro three times.

Additionally, he boasts an impressive streak of eight consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2015 to 2022. Kelce was also named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.

Travis Kelce Contract: $57.25 million

Kelce is currently in the second season of a four-year contract extension worth $57.25 million that he signed in 2020, which began to take effect in the 2022 season.

The current deal is set to keep the tight end in Kansas City until the conclusion of the 2025 NFL season.

Before this current contract, Kelce was under a five-year deal valued at $46,842,000 that he agreed to in 2016.

His rookie contract was an entry-level four-year contract worth $3,126,304, signed in 2013 upon being drafted.

Travis Kelce Career Earnings

Travis Kelce Salary 2023

Kelce will earn $12.25 million in the 2023 NFL season, according to Boardroom.

This places him in a tie with George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers as the seventh-highest-paid tight end in the league for this season. Additionally, both players rank as the 151st highest-paid players in the NFL in 2023.

Despite his exceptional performance on the field, Kelce's modest salary does not align with his remarkable talent, and he is aware of this disparity. He is consistently ranked among the league's most underpaid players.

However, Kelce doesn't mind the relatively meager pay, as he values the Chiefs' winning culture over potentially earning more with a less successful team.

"The free market looks like fun until you go somewhere and you don't win. I love winning. I love the situation I'm in," the tight end said earlier this year.

For context, a single night of ticket sales from Kelce's girlfriend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, estimated at $13 million per night in her United States shows, exceeds his 2023 salary of $12.25 million.

Swift earned $92 million in 2022 alone, surpassing Kelce's entire NFL career earnings.
