LeBron James' wife, Savannah James, may have answered questions surrounding the future of the 38-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star in a newly-released ad.

James was part of the new commercial released for Beats By Dr. Dre alongside European soccer star Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

At the 1:30 mark of the shared video by James, Savannah delivered a message where Bryce and Bronny James appeared as she spoke.

"Tell them you're not done until you play with your son," Savannah said. "Then do that, again."

To those who have religiously followed James, the 19-time All-Star mentioned his wish to play alongside his eldest son, although they may not be able to do so on the same team, ESPN reported.

"Either in the same uniform or a matchup against him," James said. ". . . But I would love to do the whole Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. thing. That would be ideal for sure."

LeBron James' wish not looking good

Considering the unfortunate turn of events tied to Bronny James, it will be interesting to see the father and son tandem playing together on the basketball court. The 19-year-old is only in his first year with USC. Further, his cardiac arrest last July may also delay his potential entry into the pro ranks.

The Lakers could wait and draft Bronny, although that may also hinge on whether LeBron James will still be playing and still be in Los Angeles.

It is even more jaw-dropping to see if James can hold up until Bryce James, his younger son, makes the big leap into the NBA, Fox Sports reported.

LeBron James' contract is for two years, where he will earn roughly $99 million. It is good until the 2024-25 season, although "The King" holds a player option.

Given that he continues to put up monster numbers, there is no doubt that James can still compete alongside today's younger players.
