LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers knows he is no spring chicken. Regardless, he remains one of the top players in the league right now and showed it emphatically.

Upon getting the news that he is the oldest active player in the NBA, LeBron James put up a statement reaction on Twitter.

The four-time NBA champion screamed, ran, and capped it with a one-handed slam.

James is currently 38 and is set to turn 39 on December 30. Injuries have hampered the 19-time NBA All-Star, although he has managed to battle back and proved he remains one of the lethal players in practically all departments.

The good news is that James appears to be as healthy as ever despite a reported foot injury, per The Athletic.

Regardless of whether he had that addressed or not, Lakers coach Darvin Ham claims that James is 100% healthy and is raring to go, according to Lakers reporter Michael Corvo.

No James in preseason opener

However, Lakers fans may have to wait longer to see LeBron James in action, as he will not be playing in the purple and gold's season opener against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, October 8, ESPN reported.

However, James added that he may suit up at some point, possibly in half of the preseason exhibition matches.

"Six preseason games, so hopefully I can get to at least half of them," James said after practice Thursday. "But we'll see. I think every game will dictate it. I will not be playing in Saturday's game, that's for sure, in the Bay. But we'll see after that."
