Colin Kaepernick NFL Return Secret Letter Leaked – Which Team is He Targeting?

Colin Kaepernick has not played NFL ball for about six years but remains hopeful of returning to the league.

Although he has attempted to do that several times, the 35-year-old free-agent quarterback has not given up on his dream. The former San Francisco 49ers QB hopes to land a spot on the New Jersey Nets.

Colin Kaepernick penned a letter addressed to Jets general manager Joe Douglas asking if there was any chance he could join the team's practice squad. The quarterback-turned-activist knows the Jets QB problems, especially after Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury and ruled out for the season.

The actual letter of Kaepernick was shared on Instagram by J.Cole despite the 35-year-old initially being reluctant. But after explaining how people and all organizations deserved to know the truth about how hard he works, Kaepernick ultimately gave the American rapper permission.

In the letter, Kaepernick detailed what he brings to the Jets, stressing that the Jets' defense stands to gain from his experience. Aside from that, it would give everyone a chance to see if Kaepernick still has what it takes to play at the NFL level, the New York Post reported.

Zach Wilson is tasked to keep the Jets afloat in Rodgers' absence. As far as Kaepernick getting the chance, the odds took a dramatic turn following the Jets' recent transaction.

This is after the Jets reportedly signed Trevor Sieman to their practice squad, ESPN reported. The former Cincinnati Bengals QB will join the mix of Wilson and Tim Boyle in the quarterback mix.
