Jey Uso announced his return to the WWE when he appeared on Payback last Saturday, September 2, thanks to the influence of Cody Rhodes.

Uso is fresh from his huge clash with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, losing no thanks to that celebrated betrayal of his brother Jimmy Uso. He would get even on the next SmackDown episode and said he was quitting.

It turns out that the former tag team champion member was quitting SmackDown and moving to Raw. The development allows the Californian to flourish in singles competition and move out of the shadows of his cousin Reigns, Felix Upton of Ringside News reported.

There is growing optimism that Jey Uso could thrive in singles competition. However, he may be forming a new tandem with Sami Zayn.

Zayn and Kevin Owens lost the tag team titles to The Judgment Day at Payback in what appears to be the last of the Zayn-Owens run. The prized fighter was noticeably absent at the September 4 edition of WWE Raw, the same time when Jey Uso and Zayn reconnected.

For now, there is no telling who Uso could end up jawing with. But with the Zayn reconnection, both former Bloodline members could form a new tag team to kick off Jey Uso's career outside the shadows of Roman Reigns.

Like most tag teams that end breaking up, there is also that possibility that Zayn and Uso could go after each other. However, it may take time to allow Uso to get his feet wet as he starts life independently.
