Scuderia AlphaTauri could get hold of one of the most dominant cars ever built in Formula One history.
Broadcaster David Croft told the Sky Sports F1 Podcast that the Faenza-based team could use their sister team, Red Bull Racing's current RB19 car, for the 2024 season.
"There are lots of reports that the plan is under whatever name they're going to be, maybe Toro Rosso once again, that they run this year's Red Bull next year," Croft said.
It is plausible to think the RB19 would still be a formidable car next year. Regulations for 2024 are likely to remain similar except for a few minor changes, unlike the major regulation overhaul that occurred in 2022.
The RB19 is shaping to be one of the greatest machineries in the sport's history. The car has yet to lose a Grand Prix this season, sweeping all 12 this year so far. Red Bull set the new record for most consecutive wins by a constructor with 13 and counting.

Different story for AlphaTauri
AlphaTauri has mightily struggled this year, sitting dead last in the Constructors' race despite having their AT04 car share the same power unit as the RB19.
It can be recalled last year that AlphaTauri chief engineer Jonathan Eddolls suggested that the team aims to reduce the usage of Red Bull parts and have more autonomy with their operations.
The difference in build and parts could be a factor in why the AT04 performs differently. Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko wants to stop this practice, ordering AlphaTauri to "follow Red Bull Racing as far as the regulations allow."
