The Tyson Fury-Francis Ngannou fight in the boxing ring is probably something only a few have imagined, but it is happening. In Saudia Arabia, of all places.

How did this come about?

Earlier this week, Cristiano Ronaldo claimed that he generates attention wherever he goes and that Saudi Arabia is becoming a huge sports hub.

Ngannou just proved the football superstar's statement true after revealing that CR7 started the talks about the massive fight between the two heavyweights from different combat sports.

"Yes, that's where it started in that moment," he said when asked by MMA Hour to confirm if Ronaldo had a role in bringing him to Saudi for a huge fight.

The two first met in January of this year in Saudi and even posted a picture of them having a great time, posing with all smiles. The Predator said the relationship with the West Asian country started during that January visit.

He also explained that the fight with Fury could happen in Wembley, but Saudi was chosen because of its growth in the sports sector.

What Cristiano Ronaldo told him about Saudi

Ronaldo's statement this week about Saudi's rise just became true. After signing with Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League, he immediately knew it in his first month there.

"We had a good talk. He told me that the Saudi [Arabia] is the future," Ngannou said in January when asked to detail his encounter with the former Real Madrid star.

"A lot of people doesn't understand now but they are changing really fast, it's moving really fast. And that's even what I personally, that was my feeling when I get there."
